Pizza Dough
Total time
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 packet (1/4 oz) pizza crust yeast
- 1½ tsp sugar
- ¾ tsp salt
- ⅔ cup warm water (120 - 130 degrees)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Add bread flour, ¾ cup of all purpose flour, yeast, sugar, salt in a medium glass bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients well.
- Add the oil and water and mix until incorporated, approximately 1 minute.
- Mix in small amounts of all purpose flour until a soft, slightly sticky ball forms.
- Knead dough on a lightly floured surface adding flour as needed until firm and elastic.
- Pull dough into a smooth ball and place in a lightly oiled bowl, covered with a light towel in a warm spot.
- Allow the dough to rise until doubled, approximately 45 - 60 minutes.
- Stretch/roll out dough to 12 to 14 inch round leaving a slightly thicker edge.
- Top the pizza dough as desired and bake on a pizza stone approximately 12 - 15 minutes turning once for even browning.
