December Picture Post

Here we are at the end of 2017 and these are some of the dishes I made that did not become posts or were previously posted. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed eating them!

Farewell 2017 and Welcome 2018!

Drunken Noodles

This dish is always a favorite to try and work into the menu!

Sous vide 12 Spice Beef Bites

Based on an appetizer from one of my favorite restaurants, this tasty beef dish benefits from temperature controlled cooking for tender bites infused with robust Mediterranean spices. I will keep working to deliver this one to all of you!

Fajitas

Because sometimes you have to enjoy those wonderful Mexican flavors…

Pulled Pork Fried Rice

Did anyone notice the Basmati rice in this picture? It made this dish special!

Pork Ragù

This dish was another test for an upcoming post. Keep watching or subscribe and get the scoop delivered!

Broccoli Beef

Like Drunken Noodles, Broccoli Beef is always welcome on the menu!

Chicken Picatta

What?  A green salad 2 months in a row!  Yes, I do eat salad with many meals, even if it rarely makes an appearance in the pictures!

Penne Bolognese

Another go to dish that never fails to satisfy, pasta is quick and easy to prepare on a weeknight for a tasty meal!

Thai-style Crab Fried Rice

This experiment was close to the dish my nearby Thai restaurant serves… and once I nail it, it will become a post!

Lobster Bisque

This effort was a request from my daughter and it needs some fine tuning before I can publish it.

Schnitzel, Spaetzle, and Rotkohl

Schnitzel was one of my favorite meals growing up as well as now. Thanks for teaching me how to make it Mom!

Mapo Ragù

I experimented with Sam Sifton’s recipe and it too, needs a little tweaking when made for one. Stay tuned!

Chicken Cordon Bleu, Mushroom Parmesan Couscous, Lemon Parmesan Roasted Broccoli

Prepared sous vide to remove the typical fussiness from pan cooked Chicken Cordon Bleu, this dish makes any night feel special!

Chicken, Prawn, and Sausage Gumbo

When it is cold and you want something to warm you up, this dish does it two ways. Served piping hot and with additional hot sauce, you will feel the warmth or the burn depending on how bold you go with that hot sauce!
