Clambake Party

Last night I threw a clambake party for some friends – sort of an end of the summer bash with a feast of seafood. In all actuality, the guys were here to help me with a foil packet clambake recipe I was working on… I needed taste testers. The party was a success as my friends devoured the results with everyone completely satisfied with the mixture of clams, prawns, lobster, linguiça, corn, and potatoes slathered in seasoned butter, aromatics, and fresh herbs. Clam Chowder

I know, you can get this soup from a can. Campbell’s Chunky, Progresso, etc… there are plenty of options. Most are tasty and make for a quick meal. Yet, making clam chowder at home is really easy. Here is a picture post of last night’s impromptu ‘pop-up’ dinner I made for a few friends. Sometimes, on the spur of the moment, I will make dinner for a few friends just to change things up a bit.
